Spiritus - Videomapping show is one of the most unique cultural experiences in Porto this year, 2025, coming to life in the city's iconic Clérigos Church. This unique performance is not just a spectacular projection, but an audiovisual journey with a deeper, philosophical message, focusing on the relationship between the human soul, time and nature.
The baroque interior of the church is completely transformed: pulsating lights appear on the walls and arches, telling the stories of creation, chaos and harmony. The experience is based on the poetry of Álvaro de Campos (one of Fernando Pessoa’s most famous alter egos), accompanied by narration and atmospheric music. The combination of text and visual elements leads the audience into a kind of meditative state.
During the projection, the lights almost "breathe" on the walls of the church: organic forms, undulating patterns, cosmic spaces and natural elements alternate. The entire performance is about how the visible world is connected to the inner, invisible dimensions - at the level of faith, soul and human consciousness.
The performance is about 30 minutes long, but the sense of time is completely transformed: at once soothing and uplifting, quiet and yet powerful. It is not a typical tourist attraction, but rather an artistic experience that invites you to slow down and look inward.
If you're in Porto, Spiritus is not just "one program among many", but an experience that will stay in your mind for days. It's the perfect choice for those who want to not only see, but also experience the cultural side of the city.
